Pink Saturday

Today is Saturday and that means it's Pink today! (well actually it's Sunday right now)...

I've just about let this weekend come around again and not have anything to post. Last night I worked hard trying to have something to share. I feel like it's show and tell. We use to do it on Monday's in elementary school.

I decided to keep up my Christmas tree. It was up anyway....who am I kidding? I just love it so much and decided to decorate it for Valentine's Day with pinks. My foo foo room has a lot of pink color. I think it turned out nicely and am happy with it.

Hopefully you will too.

Today I'm joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound.Have a great weekend!

Winter Woodsy Tablescape

Hi Friends,

A couple of weeks ago I saw a blog that inspired me to do my latest tablescape. It is my woodsy interpretation of Winter using the things I have on hand. (I don't have a lot of dishes and acessories to use yet...)

It's been a bit warm in Southwest Florida lately, but we did have some cold days with heavy frost that caused our grass and plants to freeze. Our grass is dead, brown and crunches under your feet. With no rain either it doesn't help.

So, this tablescape reminds me of the dead of winter in Florida.

Hope you enjoy the pics. Sorry a few are upside down or sideways. I tried to fix them....didn't work.

Thank you to you faithful ones that have signed up to follow me.

I appreciate you so much!

These are dead branches out of my yard.

Love this candle. It has an oatmeal fragrance that smells so good!

Table Top Inspiration

Dear Friends,
It seems I have good intentions, but lately haven't been able to be part of some of the blogging parties.
Last week after seeing Marty's Tabletops I wanted to do something different and I did. I'm pleased with how my two side tables turned out.
One is more masculine for my hubby and the other more elegant, feminine for me!
The trick is keeping them looking that way! ha! If you know what I mean...
So this week I'm joining: Marty at A stroll thru Life.
and Sandy at: http://sandimyyellowdoor.blogspot.com/Tea Time Tuesday.
Love & Hugs,
Hubby's side with a silver tray and other items from his dad.
My side with a lovely scarf given to me and a unique item lit up!
Close up of the purse night light! I love it!

Another view of my side. Tea cup is Cocoa Cambria. (you might remember that from the past). Picked up a bunch of those at GW on vacation.

Sorry for the side view of the silver platter. Have this for all my hubby's remotes! How many does a guy need? LOL
Belt Buckle from his dad. (He passed away a year ago).

My favorite part of this display statue of pony on the Reader's Digest books. Loving it with the wood on the table with the silver tray.

Hope you enjoyed my vignettes! (hope that is the right word!) a new one for me!

Winter Wonderland 2012

Happy New Year!

It's hard to believe we are in 2012. Another year and another birthday for me.

Yesterday I celebrated my birthday.

Like many of you these have been busy days and I had my family with me and just decided to focus on them. That's why I've been gone so long from blogging.

When putting these together and taking pictures I was hoping for cooler weather.
We've had warm temperatures during the holidays and finally this week had a a break.
They are calling for a hard freeze tonight in Southwest Florida. It's not good for our crops, but I have to admit...it's a nice break as I prefer cooler temps once in awhile.

Thank you for checking out my pics.

Christmas in Pink

Greetings All,

It's been almost a month since I've blogged! Can't believe it! We've been so busy and just haven't gotten around to this. Although, it been on my heart and mind to do so.

Last night we had a staff party at our home. It went well and I was pleased how everything turned out.

People were spread out all over our home, but what surprised me the most a group of men were sitting in my foo foo room. I guess they needed to get in touch with their feminine side ha! ha!

Here I thought the ladies would end up there, but we were all in the breakfast nook!

So, here are touches of my Christmas in Pink. I hope you enjoy them too!

This basket is from a precious friend that died a few years ago. I put it out to honor her memory to me and my family this year.

A sweet fan another friend made me....looking a bit yellowed.
My white foo foo Christmas tree! Click on pic hopefully, you'll get a closer look!

Victorian Pitcher & Bowl set

Greetings Ladies,

It's been awhile since I participated in Pink Saturday. It's been crazy lately! Yesterday I went to GW and found something really special to share! Something I've been looking for a very long time and at the right price! Yesterday was the day!

A sweet friend took me to lunch where we chatted over a leisurely lunch and then she suggested that we go GW and I agreed! She found a great deal! A new dress with original price tag of $408.00 and then reduced to $169.99. She paid $17.99 for it in the boutique section! What a deal!

I have some other items that were given to me as well that I'm highlighting today from another friend! I'm so blessed!

This is the item I was speaking about! I've had this dry sink for a long time, but no pitcher or bowl that would fit.

I went on line and saw a set similar to this one. Even down to the detail with the flowers. It was priced at $45.00 if my memory is correct.
Here's the bowl that fits perfectly! I measured it at the store. Because I've been looking for so long I knew how many inches across it had to be! Yay!

Love the pink color and happy I can share on Pink Saturday with you!

This beauty only cost me $19.99 at GW! What a bargain! These sets can be very pricey!

This is another pink set I've had for years that my parents gave me. It sits on the bottom of the dry sink.

Here is the bottom of a tea cup that I mentioned earlier.

The front side of this pretty teacup!

Last but not least from my friend who gave me this adorable teapot. I've never seen one quite like it. I'm going to research it. It's fun doing that!

Hope you enjoyed sharing my pink things!

It's my pleasure to join Beverly at How Sweet the Sound

for Pink Saturday.
